Fashion Trends of the 1960's:
Most of the fashion from the 60's came from the hippie movement in this decade. These trends included lot's of tie-dye and bell bottoms and paisley patterns. Also the PVC look (basically latex) was born in the 60's. Also women began to start wearing pants instead of dresses all of the time. Lot's of flower patterns were worn with the tie-dye as well as go-go boots to go along with the "hippie" look. The pill box hat and bikini were introduced in the early sixties and really took off during the decade.

The key point in hairstyles from the sixties is BIG. If you have ever seen the movie hairspray the hair in that movie is right on what hair back then was like. Most of hairstyles involved lots of teasing, volumizer, hairspray, and bobby pins.
